Jenny Scherfenberg, P4:13 Beach Coach (wife)
Degrees and Certifications:
Bachelors, Physical Education & Coaching, NWMSU
Masters, Athletic Administration, William Woods
About me:
I have been a physical education teacher and coach in the Belton School District since 2004. I am blessed with 4 amazing daughters and a fabulous husband who coaches and teaches at the high school. I love traveling, competing in beach volleyball, being actively involved with our church and photography.
Jenny brings a competitive female presence to P4:13 with the girls an opportunity to train with and against her. She is an accomplished open player that has many open beach tournaments across the country even winning tournaments with $1000 first place prize money. She was a standout athlete at Excelsior Springs HS where she received all conference, district and state honors in track and volleyball. She was a part of the volleyball and track programs at Northwest Missouri State before turning her attention all to track where she was a national champion pole vaulter. Jenny does not pole vault anymore, but does continue to compete in sand doubles volleyball throughout the year in competitive tournaments across the country. Nothing like having the opportunity to brag on your wife and to have her coach along side:).
Christina Lewis, P4:13 Beach Coach
About me: I graduated from MidAmerica Nazarene University with a degree in Physical Education. I thoroughly enjoyed playing both volleyball and basketball all 4 years of my college experience. I also developed a passion for weight lifting while at MNU. My husband is a pilot (both civilian and military.) I currently homeschool my 4 fabulous kids and teach a variety of fitness classes at the Belton Community Center. I love encouraging my kids interests, competing in beach volleyball, studying nutrition and making fun memories with family and friends.
I have gained a lot of experience and perspective in the sport of volleyball from coaching indoor club and high school to officiating the high school season all the way through sectionals. The highlight of my coaching career so far as has been taking a team to the Missouri state finals and finishing 3rd.
Having always been a fan of beach volleyball, but living in the Midwest, I was thrilled to meet Jenny and Eric at church over 10 years ago. Whether they liked it or not, I became a consistent summer visitor to their house. Over the last decade I have absolutely loved training alongside Jenny as well as gaining beach experience by continuing to compete in tournaments as much as my family’s schedule allows. I am so excited to coach with Jenny and Eric!
Mike Dauernheim, P4:13 Beach Coach
Degrees and Certifications:
Bachelors, Business Administration, Graceland College
About me:
I graduated from Graceland College with a major in Business Administration. I am married (Jenn) with 2 kids (Taylor -20 and Austin - 18). I currently work at Garmin as an IT Software Engineering Team Lead. I have been playing and/or coaching volleyball since I was 14. My coaching career started with Sports Performance Boys program for the 2000/2001 season assisting the 18-1 team that included Olympic Gold Medalist Sean Rooney. At Sports Performance, I coached the Open level teams ranging from 15U to 18U. For the last 9 years I have been with KC Power, coaching primarily 16-18 Open levels. In 2017, my KC Power 18-1 team won the 18 Open division at USAV Nationals in Dallas, Texas.
As a player, Mike was an All American and national champion at Graceland College and received the same honor as a an Adult player at the USAV AA level. Mike had a successful beach career that spanned several regional and national beach volleyball tours including the AVP, EVP, Corona Wide Open and MPVA. He was a 3 time EVP tour player of the year, winning more tournaments than any other player during that span. I have trained with and played against Mike for several years and am glad to have him on staff to help take our athletes to the next level this summer. Mike is also a family man that walks a similar faith journey that is a perfect fit for P4:13 Beach.
